Cancellation Policy

We know things come up—kids get sick, schedules shift, and life happens! To help us support all families and make the best use of everyone’s time, here’s how our cancellation policy works:

Need to Cancel or Reschedule?

 

No problem—just let us know at least 24 hours before your session. That gives us time to offer the spot to another family.

 

Less Than 24 Hours’ Notice

 

If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice (except for emergencies), we’ll need to charge for the missed session. Our therapists set aside this time just for you!

 

Missed Appointments (No-Shows)

 

If you miss a session without letting us know, the full session fee will apply. We’ll check in to see how we can help keep things on track.​

Frequent Changes

We understand life is busy—but if cancellations happen often, we may need to pause services or place you back on our waitlist so other families can access care.

Feeling Unwell or Family Emergency?

We’re flexible and understanding in cases of illness or urgent situations—just keep us in the loop!

Inclement Weather 

The safety of our clients and team is our top priority. In the event of inclement weather (e.g., snowstorms, extreme cold, or hazardous travel conditions), we follow the closure decisions made by local public schools and licensed childcare centres in your area.

If schools and daycares are closed due to weather conditions, all in-person sessions scheduled for that day will be cancelled. You will be notified as early as possible by text, phone, or email.

What this means for you:

  • No cancellation fee will be charged for weather-related cancellations.

  • If you'd like to switch to a virtual session, we’re happy to accommodate that if appropriate.

  • If schools remain open, we will continue with in-person sessions unless you hear otherwise from us directly.

If you ever feel it’s unsafe to travel—even if schools are open—please reach out, and we’ll work with you to reschedule or shift to virtual care where available.
